Rules for accreditation of Journalists and Media covering the Jubilee
As stated on the website of the Holy See Press Office, journalists and communications professionals covering Jubilee events such as celebrations and pilgrimages, and those communicating the Jubilee in various ways, can receive temporary accreditation at the Vatican Press Office. “Temporary” accreditation is required for those who are not permanently accredited and gives access to the Holy See Press Office and to the ceremonies and events for which confirmed accreditation has been received, allowing the required documentation to be received in electronic format.
The accreditation procedure, and all related information, is now available at the website: https://press.vatican.va/content/salastampa/en/accrediti/pubblico/accredito.html
All audio and video recording and photography within Vatican City State, unless it relates to specific events included in the Jubilee Events Calendar (for which accreditation is required through the online system of the Holy See Press Office) requires specific authorization.
Requests for news purposes must be addressed to the Media Operations and Accreditations Section of the Holy See Press Office (with whom an agreement will be made vis-a-vis operating procedures) at least 48 hours before the proposed report, via the email address accreditamenti@salastampa.va
Even for pilgrimages to the Holy Door or Jubilee events organized by dioceses, institutions, and Church associations, journalists and other media personnel accompanying the groups, must make the necessary arrangements with the Holy See Press Office, writing to accreditamenti@salastampa.va
