The Cicero App is presented as an official partner of the Jubilee

10 April 2025

The Dicastery for Evangelization has formalized its partnership with the Cicero App, which now becomes an official sponsor of the 2025 Jubilee.

Cicero offers its users an immersive experience in the streets of the city of Rome aimed at discovering the artistic, cultural and spiritual heritage of the Italian capital. This initiative, which is particularly innovative in the context of religious, cultural and tourist events, offers pilgrims, tourists, and citizens from all over the world the opportunity to explore Rome for free, in various languages, directly from their smartphone. Cicero makes significant parts of the city accessible, from the major basilicas to the lesser-known sites, without the usual linguistic or economic barriers.

The app is easy to use and guides the user with an engaging narrative. Through the use of the interactive map, Cicero highlights even Rome’s most hidden gems.

This initiative is just one of the initiatives promoted by the Dicastery for Evangelization to promote the artistic, cultural and spiritual heritage of Rome, making the experience of pilgrimage and visiting the eternal city more accessible to all.

Commenting on the new partnership, Tommaso D’Urso, the founder of Cicero, said: “We are honored to be official partners of the Jubilee. It is the first time that an entire city has been made available in this way, free of charge, to everyone. This is an important first not just for Rome but for the entire world. With Cicero, the pilgrim becomes a tourist, and the tourist discovers the pilgrim within.

“Every detail of Rome is given its importance and its meaning is explained. It has been a privilege to work with the Dicastery for Evangelization, which is acting in a very practical way to offer everyone a richer, more complete, and inclusive experience. Rome is not just a city to be seen. Rome is also a city to be listened to. And now, thanks to the Jubilee, this will be possible”.

The Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery, Archbishop Rino Fisichella, said: “We are grateful to Cicero for the commitment and dedication the company has shown in making the spiritual, cultural, and artistic heritage of Rome accessible to all - pilgrims, tourists and citizens. With this partnership, Cicero is putting its professionalism at the service of this Jubilee, so as to offer a richer and more profound experience to everyone who comes to Rome”.
