Preparing for the Jubilee of Adolescents, from 25 to 27 April: an event dedicated to young people
From Friday 25 to Sunday 27 April 2025, Rome will host one of the most widely anticipated Jubilee events of the Holy Year - the first-ever Jubilee of Adolescents to be dedicated to young teens from all over the world. So far over 80,000 young people have registered with more signing up every day. They will meet in the Italian capital for what promises to be an unforgettable experience of faith, spiritual growth and cultural exchange.
The Jubilee of Adolescents will involve tens of thousands of young people coming mostly from Italy, but with large groups coming too from the United States, Brazil, India, Spain, Portugal, France, Ukraine, the UK, Germany, Chile, Venezuela, Mexico, Australia, Argentina, Nigeria, Australia, and many other nations. Many dioceses will be represented too, with their youth ministries, associations and movements, including Agesci, Italian Catholic Action, the Salesian Youth Movement, and many other organizations involved in the spiritual growth and formation of young people.
The Jubilee program can be consulted at this link. Particularly significant will be the opening prayer of the “Via Lucis” on April 25 at EUR, and the “Dialogues with the city” on April 26 which will end with a huge concert at the Circus Maximus, from 5-7pm. Among the many artists taking part will be the popular Italian pop band The Kolors. Other big-name participants will be announced shortly.
The event will reach its climax with the Mass on Sunday 27 April, at 10am, in St. Peter's Square, during which Blessed Carlo Acutis will be canonized as a very young example of faith and holiness in everyday life for the new generations.
