The new website of the Slovak Episcopal Conference dedicated to the Jubilee is now online
The new website of the Slovak Episcopal Conference dedicated to the Jubilee of 2025 has been active since May 7, and can be reached at the link https://www.jubileum2025.sk The portal provides Slovakian-speaking users with news on the Holy Year, suggestions for prayer, information on pilgrimages to Rome, material to download and useful documents.
“The aim of the site is to offer Slovakian users up-to-date information on the content and activities planned for the Jubilee Year. It is a complete and official source of materials, texts and prayers (some protected by copyright) for pastoral use, with the authorization of the Slovak Episcopal Conference," said the Executive Secretary of the Conference (KBS) , Ivan Ružička, who is also the delegate for the Holy Year 2025 in Slovakia.
The Official Jubilee Hymn in Slovakian is also available on the site, with words and music, and it can be downloaded for free. Individual sections are dedicated to the history of Jubilees, the Bull of Indiction, the letter of appointment from Pope Francis to the Pro-prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization, Archbishop Rino Fisichella, the Holy Year Prayer, and the official logo. The website was prepared by a working group under the leadership of the General Secretariat of the KBS.
Secretary Ružička invited the Slovak faithful to start planning now for pilgrimages to the tombs of the Apostles Peter and Paul, and to draw on the spiritual treasure of the Church by crossing the threshold of the Holy Door and visiting the Roman basilicas. Preparations for the Year of Prayer and the 2025 Jubilee 2025 will start in earnest in June 2024, with the Ad Limina Apostolorum visit of the Slovak bishops to Rome.
