On Sunday 28 April, at 5.30 pm, at the Church of Sant'Ignazio in central Rome, the Messiah by the German (later naturalized English) composer Georg Friedrich Händel will be performed in its entirety. The famous work will be performed by the Florentine Ensemble of the "Musici del Gran Principe", directed by the young Maestro Samuele Lastrucci.
This timeless masterpiece is not always performed in its entirety. Handel composed it in 1741 and one of his most famous pieces, the Hallelujah Chorus, will act as an aid for meditation and spiritual reflection in this Easter season, allowing us to contemplate the entire journey of the life of Jesus Christ from his birth to his resurrection.
Entrance free while places last.
